What does a working day look like?

Take a look at the working life of one of our account managers and find out whether you can identify with the working life of a Service Points account manager.

Morning

I start my workday between 8:00 and 8:30, opening WhatsApp first to check messages from my clients. While doing so, I ensure that all client chats are answered and that I have prioritized any issues or matters to be resolved for myself in ClickUp (Service Points' task management system). In the meantime, I also immediately check Slack (the communication system with Chinese partners), answer outstanding issues, and forward initial questions and problems from clients.

Once all chats have been answered, I will grab my daily schedule in ClickUp, check my plan for the day, and start picking up (or continuing with) the matters with the highest priority.

At 9:30, I have a call with the team to discuss the schedule for the day. After the morning kick-off, I resume contact with both clients and Chinese partners to resolve all ongoing and new issues. In between, I try to complete as many tasks from my schedule as possible. Since the Chinese partners are only active until 13:00 Dutch time, I ensure that as many problems as possible are resolved in the morning.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, I am more focused on completing non-client-related tasks from my to-do list. These are primarily tasks related to milestones and any scheduled meetings. In the meantime, I maintain necessary contact with my clients to help and support them with their questions and problems. Depending on how busy I am, I choose to exercise in the afternoon or in the evening if I have a busy schedule. I can determine this myself based on the planned tasks and priorities.

Once all chats have been answered, I will grab my daily schedule in ClickUp, check my plan for the day, and start picking up (or continuing with) the matters with the highest priority.

Evening

For the evening I made sure that my to-do list was completed and that the planning for the next day was ready so that I could start the next day well and efficiently. I only have to respond to messages from customers in the evening. This is also fine for me while I am doing something fun such as eating out or exercising, where I always respond to customers in between and forward any tasks/problems to the Chinese partners or process them in ClickUp.

About Service Points

Service Points is a fast-growing international scale-up that helps e-commerce entrepreneurs grow by making the world's highest-quality supply chain accessible. From our office in the heart of Eindhoven, we work with an ambitious team on building a platform that supports entrepreneurs worldwide in sourcing, branding, and fulfillment.

At Service Points, we work in a high-performance environment where growth, ownership, and development are central. We are building not only our customers' success but also a strong organization and culture.

The assignment

During this internship, you will work on improving our content process. Content plays an increasingly important role within Service Points, partly as part of our employer branding. You will ensure that creating, planning, and distributing content becomes faster, more consistent, and easier. You will be guided by our Content Specialist and work daily with the Marketing and Sales team, HR, and various other teams within the organization.

To this end, you will collaborate with various departments within the organization to gather and capture content, and you will work closely with our HR employer branding intern to ensure the content aligns with the employer branding strategy he or she is developing.

What you are going to do

  • You actively participate in the content team. You film, photograph, edit, and publish content for our social media, website, and employer branding.
  • You create content (photos and videos) for our social media, website, YouTube, employer branding, and internal communication.
  • Mapping the current content process and where it can be made more efficient
  • Collaborating with various teams to gather stories and content
  • Work closely with the HR employer branding intern to align content with the employer branding strategy
  • Setting up an improved and repeatable content process, including planning and workflow
  • Contributing ideas on how content can best be deployed and distributed

Result of the internship

By the end of your internship, you will not only have produced dozens of content, but also established a more efficient content process that enables Service Points to produce content faster and more consistently.

Your profile

  • You are following an MBO or HBO program, for example in media, communication, or marketing.
